Paula
A. Patton, CEO & President
As CEO and President of The NALP Foundation for Law Career
Research and Education, Ms. Patton provides leadership
for all research and educational initiatives and is responsible
for oversight of governance and operational initiatives.
She holds a Masters degree in Adult and Occupational Education
and a Bachelors degree in Human Ecology. Ms. Patton served
as Executive Director of the National Association for
Law Placement, The Foundation's parent organization, from
1992 until September 2002. She previously served as Executive
Director of The Learning Consortium, a non-profit educational
enterprise of K-12 public schools and community colleges
dedicated to using distance learning technologies for
delivery of instructional services. Ms. Patton has published
numerous articles, monographs and compilations including
specially commissioned pieces for the legal press on law-related
topics. She is columnist for the New York Law Journal
and a member of the Editorial Board of Aspen Publications.
Pamela
S. Malone, Senior Vice President
As Senior Vice President of The NALP Foundation for Law
Career Research and Education, Ms. Malone provides leadership
for outreach, development and marketing in support of
The Foundation's mission. Formerly, Ms. Malone was Director
of Lawyer Recruitment and Development for McGuire Woods
LLP. Prior to the law firm, she worked as Assistant Dean
for Career Services at Vanderbilt University Law School
and was a corporate recruiter for a national corporation.
Ms. Malone is a past-president of the National Association
for Law Placement (NALP) and a former trustee of The NALP
Foundation. She has published articles on law-related
topics and has served as a liaison and frequent spokesperson
on matters related to lawyer careers.
