NALP Foundation Appoints Chair-Elect and Two New Trustees

Bill O'Neil has been appointed Chair-Elect, and Julie Crisp and Charlotte Wager join the Board of Trustees.

The NALP Foundation has named William O’Neil as the next Chair-Elect of the Board of Trustees. Bill will become Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in July 2022 and will serve a two-year term.

Bill is a partner in the Litigation Department of Winston & Strawn LLP in Chicago where he also serves as Chair of the Hiring Committee. He received his BA from Denison University and his JD from Washington University School of Law. Bill has served as a member of the NALP Foundation Board of Trustees since September 2019.

“We are thrilled to elevate Bill O’Neil to Chair-Elect of the NALP Foundation,” said Howard L. Ellin, a partner with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York and current Chair of the Board of Trustees. “Bill has been an active member for several years and tremendously supportive of our organization’s mission to provide affordable and objective research and resources for the legal profession.”

In response to his appointment, Bill noted: “I am honored to continue the work of my distinguished predecessors at the Foundation. Their legacy is inspiring, and I am excited about the future of the Foundation and its important place at the intersection of legal talent management and research.”

At the July meeting of the Board of Trustees, the NALP Foundation also welcomed two new members of the Board for three-year terms: Julie D. Crisp, a partner in the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices of Latham & Watkins LLP, and Charlotte L. Wager, Chief Talent Officer for Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago.
