Manuel G. Berrelez is a trial and regulatory enforcement partner at Vinson & Elkins in Dallas where he represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of litigation and investigation matters. His practice focuses on fraud and fiduciary duty claims, government and internal investigations, various regulatory and compliance matters, bankruptcy-related litigation, and other complex business disputes.


As the firm-wide Lead Partner for Recruiting, Manuel is actively involved with and oversees the firm’s recruiting efforts. He is also a member of the firm’s Diversity Executive Committee, a co-lead for the firm’s Hispanic/Latinx Affinity Group, and he serves as the Diversity Executive Committee liaison to all of the firm’s Affinity Groups. Manuel serves on numerous civic Boards focused on the arts, education, and legal services, and he was most recently appointed to the Texas Supreme Court Advisory Committee in 2021.


Manuel received his BA cum laude from Yale College and his JD from Yale Law School. He clerked for the Honorable Raymond C. Fisher, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
