Julie Crisp is a partner in the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices of Latham & Watkins LLP, and also serves as the Vice Chair of the firm’s Recruiting Committee. She is a member of the firm's Tax Department, and her practice focuses on executive compensation and employee benefits matters.


Julie advises private equity funds and companies across various industries on the compensation and employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions, financings, initial public offerings, spin-offs, and other corporate transactions, as well as compliance with tax and securities laws. She also counsels companies and management teams in the structuring, negotiation and implementation of employment, severance, equity and other compensation plans and arrangements.


In her capacity as the Vice Chair of the firm’s Global Recruiting Committee, Julie is involved in a wide range of attorney recruiting, development and diversity initiatives. She has been a speaker at the firm’s Black Lawyers Group Retreat, Diversity Leadership Academy and Summer Academy. In addition, Julie serves as a member of the Leaders Network Council of the Ron Brown Scholar Organization.


Julie received her BA from the University of California, Berkeley and her JD from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
