Larry Seymour is a partner with Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles, where he commenced practice in January 2005 after relocating from New York.  He is a member of the firm's Tax Department, with a practice focused on executive compensation and employee benefits matters. 


Larry counsels companies and funds across a wide array of industries on all compensation and benefit aspects of mergers and acquisitions, financings, IPOs and other corporate transactions, as well as with regard to non-transactional executive compensation matters. Larry also represents senior executives and management teams in negotiating employment, severance, equity, golden parachute and similar arrangements.


Serving as the Chair of the firm's Global Recruiting Committee, Larry is involved in a broad range of attorney recruiting, development and diversity initiatives. He has been a speaker at the Black Lawyers Group Retreat, Diversity Leadership Academy and Summer Academy as well as a frequent presenter at firm-wide training and mentoring events. Larry is also a member of the Contextual Recruitment Working Group for Rare Recruitment, a UK-based diversity pipeline development organization.


Larry received his BA from Binghamton University and his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
