Melissa M. Berry is the Director of Attorney Development at Perkins Coie, where she leads the firm's lawyer learning and professional development strategy. Brining over 25 years of experience to the legal talent leadership team, Melissa works collaboratively across the firm to design and implement initiatives that support lawyers at every stage of the lawyer lifecycle, including overseeing the associate performance evaluation and partner promotion processes.


Before returning to Perkins Coie in her current role, Melissa served as a law school faculty member and assistant dean. She began her career as a federal judicial clerk and associate at Perkins Coie and Latham & Watkins.


Based in in Seattle, Melissa is active through her service with NALP, PDC, and the Washington State Bar Association's Member Well-Being Task Force.


Melissa received her BA cum laude from Tulane University and her JD cum laude from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
