Wednesday, November 1, 2023

The NALP Foundation and NALP have co-authored an article -- the cover feature of the November NALP Bulletin -- highlighting key takeaways from the organizations' joint alumni study for the Class of 2019.

Fiona Trevelyan Hornblower, Foundation President and CEO, Jennifer Mandery, Foundation Vice President for Research, and Nikia Gray, NALP Executive Director, explore topics including mobility, hybrid work arrangements, Professional Identity Formation (PIF), preferences for post-graduate engagement, and the impact of mental health on career satisfaction.

In addition to the survey’s historic questions about employment and graduates’ satisfaction with their preparation in law school for practice, this year’s study added new queries about Professional Identity Formation and graduates’ reasons for changing jobs, as well as continuing recent queries about the ongoing pandemic’s impact on mental health and alumni preferences on methods for engaging with their law schools after graduation.
