The NALP Foundation announces its 10th Annual Hiring Partner Conference scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 8:30am-3:30pm at McDermott Will & Schulte's Washington, DC office (500 North Capitol Street, NW).

Hiring Partners, Chief Talent Officers, Directors of Recruiting, and key law firm leaders are invited to attend the Hiring Partner Conference -- with this year's theme of AI Impacts: Legal Recruiting & Beyond -- to discuss topics and share ideas around recruiting, retention, diversity and ethics, all through the lens of AI and how that is reshaping the legal profession. Sessions for the invitation-only event include an expert panel on AI and a keynote address as well as:

  • Law School Deans Panel: The Institutional Perspective
  • Law Students Panel: The Student Perspective
  • The NALP Foundation Research Update featuring our Attrition, Alumni and Performance Evaluations Studies
  • NALP Legal Market and Recruiting Update

We are especially honored to welcome Michelle Behnke, ABA President, as our keynote speaker this year. President Behnke will share her unique perspective on the future of the legal profession and the role of legal recruiting in shaping the next generation of lawyers.

The registration fee of $995 includes a welcome reception and dinner on Monday, March 16 (6-9pm) as well as the full Conference program, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, March 17 (8:30am-3:30pm). Hotel and travel are not included. Confirmed attendees will receive a link to reserve space at area preferred hotels with their confirmation materials and final agendas.

For those unable to travel, we are offering a virtual registration for $750 that includes the March 17 program only.

We extend special thanks to our friends at McDermott for hosting this signature event at their Washington, DC office, and our many sponsors, including Latham & Watkins, Practising Law Institute, SUITED, Flo Recruit, Legal Innovators, Lateral Hub/Summer Associate Hub, Hogan Lovells, Skadden, and Pirical.
